EMEA FINANCIAL SENIOR AUDITOR
Scope of Role :
Reporting to the Vice President of Internal Audit, the EMEA Financial Senior Auditor will partner with the Global Internal Audit management team and Company management while maintaining independence. The role involves leading and directing the European audit function, evaluating internal controls, operational efficiency, financial reporting reliability, and compliance with laws and regulations. The focus is on designing and assessing the effectiveness of the internal control framework to manage and mitigate risks. The Senior Auditor will oversee audit functions within Europe and support other regions as needed.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Develop and execute the annual internal audit plan addressing key operational and financial risks.
2. Lead the enterprise-wide risk assessment to identify major business risks.
3. Discuss internal audit findings with senior management and external auditors.
4. Provide opinions on controls, ethics, compliance, and policy adherence.
5. Review Sarbanes-Oxley Act, Section 404, operational audits, and other reviews, documenting conclusions.
6. Identify improvement opportunities, develop corrective action plans, and oversee their implementation.
7. Collaborate with control owners across departments to ensure policy compliance and support business performance.
8. Utilize data analytics and automation to enhance audit processes.
9. Manage relationships with external auditors.
10. Prepare and oversee the departmental budget.
11. Assist in internal investigations and manage special projects as needed.
12. Apply 80/20 principles to improve processes aligned with organizational strategy.
Professional Experience / Qualifications :
1. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field; Master’s degree or CPA/CIA preferred.
2. At least 5 years of managerial experience in internal/external audit, compliance, or related fields.
3. Manufacturing or operational industry experience preferred.
4. Strong understanding of internal auditing standards, GAAP, PCAOB, SEC regulations, Sarbanes-Oxley, and COSO Framework.
5. International multi-location experience is a plus.
6. Excellent leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
7. Proficiency with data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI) and audit software (e.g., Excel, Oracle, SAP).
8. Effective communication skills across all organizational levels.
9. Ability to travel up to 30% domestically and internationally.
