We are looking for a General Manager to help lead and scale a group of digital education businesses operating at the intersection of community, online learning, AI and higher education.
The role will work across Docsity, WeUni and OPIT – Open Institute of Technology, with the mission of bringing stronger structure, operational discipline and execution to a fast-growing EdTech ecosystem.
This is a role for a builder: someone able to combine strategic vision with hands-on execution, product thinking, business ownership and a strong understanding of digital platforms.
The Role
You will help scale a portfolio of education businesses combining:
* Docsity, a large-scale student platform with millions of users, now evolving from a document marketplace into an AI-native learning platform
* WeUni, a B2B education and lead-generation platform serving universities and higher education institutions
* OPIT, an accredited online higher education institution focused on applied technology degrees
Your mission will be to drive sustainable growth, strengthen product-market fit, improve execution across teams, and build a more structured, scalable and high-performing organization.
What You’ll Own
You will work closely with the Founder and the existing leadership teams, with ownership of the business units' growth trajectory and operational performance.
* Define and execute product-led, community-led and commercially driven growth strategies
* Strengthen engagement, retention and monetization across the student ecosystem
* Bring structure to product, marketing, sales, operations and customer experience
* Build clear KPI frameworks, operating rhythms and scalable processes
* Drive execution across product roadmaps, growth initiatives and commercial priorities
* Identify and develop synergies across the platforms
* Act as a strong external representative towards partners and stakeholders
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for someone who combines entrepreneurial energy with strong managerial discipline. The ideal profile has:
* Strong experience in digital products, platforms, marketplaces or user-based businesses
* A solid background in product-led growth, digital marketing, community and retention
* Experience managing P&L, budgets, KPIs and cross-functional teams
* Strong execution skills and the ability to turn strategy into measurable results
* Understanding of AI-enabled products and how they can improve learning experiences
* Exposure to B2B sales, partnerships or institutional business development
* Strong people leadership and ability to manage senior, diverse teams
* Excellent communication skills and international exposure
* Fluency in English; Italian is also important for the role
* Availability to work from Turin, with travel when needed
Nice to Have
* Experience in EdTech, online learning or higher education
* Experience with user-generated content platforms or communities
* Exposure to subscription models, digital monetization or marketplace dynamics
* Technical or STEM background
* Experience in regulated or accreditation-driven environments
