The Role
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist & HR Business Partner to support and oversee HR and payroll operations for our Italian & Spanish direct retail stores.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing payroll processes, ensuring compliance with the labor framework, and supporting store managers in all HR-related activities.
He/she will also collaborate with international teams, requiring full professional proficiency in Spanish.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage the full payroll cycle for all retail stores, including monthly variables, attendance, overtime, holidays, sickness, and injuries.
• Oversee the time-tracking systems and ensure correct alignment with retail shift scheduling and store operations.
• Support Store Managers and Area Managers with HR matters: onboarding, performance topics, disciplinary processes, workforce planning, and staffing levels.
• Monitor key retail HR KPIs: labor cost, turnover, absenteeism, productivity.
• Assist with recruitment activities for store teams (seasonal hiring, part-time, apprenticeships).
• Ensure compliance with CCNL Commercio and manage mandatory communications and relations with external bodies (INPS, INAIL, consultants).
• Collaborate with international HR teams and HQ by preparing HR reporting and updates in Spanish (supported by a Local Consultant)
• Build strong relationships with store teams to promote alignment, engagement, and operational excellence.
What We Are Looking For
• 2+ years of experience in payroll and/or HR management, ideally in the retail sector.
• Strong knowledge of the Italian labor law and CCNL Commercio.
• Fluent Spanish (B2/C1); English is a plus.
• Solid understanding of retail dynamics, workforce planning, and store performance indicators.
• Proficiency with payroll and time-tracking systems (Zucchetti).
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills; proactive and solution-oriented approach.
• Passion for retail and people development.
