Ph3Technical Support Engineer /h3 pAbout Ideolux /p pIdeolux designs, engineers and produces high-quality LED Lighting. Our project-grade products, systems and services comply with international quality safety requirements. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liProvide technical support to sales, design, and project teams on lighting products, specifications, and applications. /li liPrepare and review technical submittals, datasheets, shop drawings, and compliance documents. /li liAssist in selecting suitable lighting fixtures, drivers, and control systems for projects. /li liRespond to client, consultant, and contractor technical inquiries promptly and professionally. /li liCoordinate with suppliers, manufacturers, and project teams for approvals, product information, and technical clarifications. /li liSupport installation, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and value engineering of lighting systems. /li liConduct product testing and evaluate samples to ensure quality, performance, and project compatibility. /li liReview, revise, and validate test reports to ensure accuracy, compliance, and alignment with project requirements. /li liMaintain technical documentation, stay updated on lighting technologies, and ensure compliance with standards. /li liPrepare technical reports and provide internal and external reporting while maintaining proper documentation. /li /ul h3Qualifications Skills /h3 ul liBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. /li li2–3 years of experience in lighting technical support or a similar role. /li liKnowledge of lighting products, drivers, control systems, and electrical standards. /li liExperience with Dialux, AutoCAD, Revit, or similar software. /li liSkilled in technical submittals, datasheets, shop drawings, and test reports. /li liExperience in product testing, sample evaluation, and report revision. /li liStrong communication, coordination, and documentation skills. /li liDetail-oriented, organized, and able to handle multiple tasks. /li libAbility to speak Italian is an advantage. /b /li /ul h3Working Schedule in UAE time: /h3 pMonday to Friday 9:00am-1:00pm, 1:30pm-6:30pm /p h3TECNICO DELL’ASSISTENZA /h3 pMust to have: /p pbRequisiti: /b /p pbCosa offriamo: /b /p pThe Technical Support Engineer is our recognized, trusted technical expert for Italian market. You build a strong and trustful relationship with customer and stakeholders and you offer technical support to customers with a focus on design and Features Benefits to influence purchasing demands. You ensure that our Viking brand is at the forefront of our clients via training to customers, insurers, end-users, consultants and other specifiers of fire protection equipment. Your duties include making visits to specifiers (insurers, fire authorities, end-users, consultants etc) as well as networking in the engineering/building community and supporting local industry related organisations. You will have commercial responsibilities for Water Mist (Econaqua/Procon) and Foam systems. /p pYou work closely within our great local team of Sales, Customer Service in Italy and your Technical Support colleagues in other territories. /p pThe main duties: /p ul liBuild a strong and trustful relationship with customer and stakeholders; /li lioffer technical support to customers with a focus on design and Features Benefits; /li liTraining to customer, end user, consultants, specifiers of FP; /li liCommercial responsibilities for Water Mist (Econaqua/Procon) and Foam systems; /li liBuild a specification and quotation pipeline /li liProvide technical support to customers and specifiers for water based product range /li liOrganize and provide training and seminars /li liMaintain strong contacts with system stakeholders (for example end users, engineers insurers) to provide assistance and work towards getting Viking products specified /li liWork closely within the technical support team in EMEA /li /ul pFurthermore, you will have the following duties: /p ul liBuild a specification and quotation pipeline /li liAssist our customers in complex projects to identify the systems and products they require /li liProvide technical support to customers and specifiers for water based product range /li liProvide technical support to colleagues with accurate technical information /li liOrganize and provide training and seminars /li liProvide on-site assistance to customers as necessary /li liMaintain strong contacts with system stakeholders (for example end users, engineers insurers) to provide assistance and work towards getting Viking products specified /li liWork with our product management team to define our product offering and manage our local product approvals /li liWork closely within the technical support team in EMEA /li liWork closely with the sales, operations and marketing department to launch new products /li liParticipate in Standards Committees and Trade Association and drive the development of the sprinkler industry /li liDefine and realize solutions for local standards / regulations /li /ul pIdeally, you are based in Milan area (Viking Italy office is in Milan). The position requires occasional traveling mostly in Italy, but visits may be required to other countries as well.
