Ph3Overview /h3 pbJob Description /b This role is a 9 month Fixed Term Contract (FTC) based at our Porcari, Lucca site. /p h3Purpose of the Job /h3 pThe Senior Quality Engineer is a key member of the Quality Department, facilitating growth and ensuring robust quality controls and activities across the Rotork Lucca site. /p h3Responsibilities and Outcomes /h3 ul liActive involvement in Customer Concerns/Complaints/Queries, driving root cause identification, corrective actions and preventative actions. /li liCreate visual awareness of quality metrics and communication to the business. Work with the Quality Manager to develop KPIs to underpin objectives. Drive activities to meet objectives and communicate engage effectively to the business. /li liDevise methodologies for improving process inspection verification. Work with the Operations team to improve inspection and verification through the use of control plans, visual SOPs, poke yoke, visual standards, quality alerts, gauges and calibration adherence. /li liDevelop and execute a process audit plan. Devise process audit format and plan to engage work force and identify non-conformities. /li liImplement methodologies for establishing “cost of quality”. Scrap, defects, returns, complaints, non-value added activities. Identify, track and reduce through structured methodologies. Control quarantine levels. /li liCreate and Implement Quality Control Plans with the assistance of all the relevant team members. /li liInternal Audit: Review the business to ensure adherence to departmental methodologies, processes and procedures. Conduct vertical audits in the business to identify opportunities for improvement. /li liEnsure timely management of internal and external system and product non conformities. /li liConduct and manage product/process and system audits. /li liSupport and facilitate continuous improvement activities within the site, working cross functionally with other Departments. /li liDevelop and implement significant improvements in department wide processes, procedures and systems. /li liSupport NPI projects as required, working closely with other departments to ensure successful introduction into Production. /li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 pbQualifications Technical knowledge /b Essential: /p ul liMinimum of 5 years relevant quality experience (with a degree), or 10 years relevant quality experience (without a degree). /li liExperience within a Customer Facing environment, with knowledge of NCR management and utilisation of a wide range of Quality tools /li liUnderstanding of various quality tools and methodologies i.e. PPAP, CAPA methodology, 8D problem solving, 5 Why’s, SPC, 6 Sigma (DMAIC), Lean Analysis, Pareto charts and statistical data /li liAn understanding of NDT, Chemical and Physical processing, as well as CNC Machining and CMM inspection. /li liExperience working in a prescriptive working environment; Oil and Gas, Aerospace, Automotive, Nuclear, Project, or Infrastructure. /li liExperience utilising Lean Six Sigma techniques and methodology to improve operational performance /li liExperience operating MRP/ERP systems /li liExperience supporting NPI (New Product Introduction) projects /li /ul h3Additional Information /h3 pOur purpose is Keeping the World Flowing for Future Generations. /p pFor over sixty years, the world has relied on us to create the things that keep everything moving.
