OHB Italia is seeking for its Equipment Business Unit in Milano or Torino for immediate start a
CAD DESIGNER m/f Ref. CAD_EQUIP_2026 Tasks
* Collaborate with system engineer (project responsible) for mechanical design requirement definition and discussion.
* Collaborate with thermal and structural engineers to accommodate complex systems.
* Create 3D designs for space equipment.
* Create 2D manufacturing and technical assembly, and ICD drawings, as well as project-level documentation.
* Optimize equipment’s mechanical design to improve performance and reliability.
* Perform fast-prototypes for quick validation of design.
* Specify, select, and acquire necessary components required for mechanical designs.
* Manage part lists and libraries including standard mechanical and electrical components.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
* Experience in 3D and 2D modelling with SIEMENS NX.
* Experience in both thermal & structural design (is an advantage).
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in the mechanical design of mechanical/structural systems (in space field is a plus).
* Knowledge of materials (metallic and composite), coatings, and adhesives.
* Fluent in English.
* Experience gathering technical requirements and developing technical specifications and documentation.
* Experience in relationships with Customers and with Subcontractors and Suppliers during his/her past work.
* System-oriented thinking and vision.
* Awareness and sensitivity for cost and schedule impacts.
