We were meant to fly. /ppThe Preliminary Design engineer – PD military programs lead is an exciting opportunity to join the Preliminary Design team within the Advanced Systems Design Technology section. The team deals with the definition of propulsion system architectures together with their integration in future aircraft for both commercial and military applications. The initial responsibilities of this role are in support to the ongoing European Defense Fund military technology development programs the team is involved. /ph3bJob Description /b /h3pbEssential Responsibilities /b /pulliLead and coordinate the activities of multidisciplinary project teams providing technical leadership, acting as integrator of different output from disciplines (mechanical, aerothermal, controls, …) within the company /liliInterface with internal and external customers or partners to specify system requirements and flow down to the different teams /liliCoordinate and execute trade studies of propulsion system architecture configurations and aircraft installation feasibility studies /liliDefine the plan and monitor the execution of technical activities, deliverables and program milestones providing continued reporting to the leadership team and ensuring alignment with all involved functions /liliContribute to the definition of the required technologies and maturation roadmap for the successful introduction of novel concepts /liliLead or support technical and program reviews, present the results and findings to wide audiences from technical experts to executive leadership /liliEnsure compliance with best practices and processes /liliEnsure proper documentation of all work /li /ulpbQualifications/Requirements /b /pulliMaster’s degree in engineering from an accredited University; Aerospace preferred /liliDemonstrated experience in aviation gas turbine engines development and their integration/installation on aircraft /liliExperienced in whole engine architecture trades and their impact into final system performance and aircraft capabilities /liliSignificant experience on systems engineering and/or a variety of technical disciplines related to propulsion /liliExperience with both fixed wing and rotorcraft applications and associated gas turbine engine types /liliPropulsion system and aircraft requirements management experience /liliFamiliarity with Research and Technology development processes /liliFluency in English and Italian /liliWork VISA, according to local regulation, is required /li /ulpbDesired characteristics /b /pulliExperience in technical program management, planning and monitoring of activities /liliPassionate about Aviation products and innovation /liliPractical knowledge of the military sector and different aircraft applications /liliExperience in product growth strategies and advanced technologies /liliCan do attitude capable to manage uncertainty and changing environments /liliExperience working with cross-functional teams in a multinational environment /li /ulpbWhat we offer /b /ppbSmart working and work life-balance /b /ppAvio Aero, when possible, promotes smart work in hybrid mode, and encourages a good, healthy and satisfying work-life balance.
