Military and Veteran’s Health Solutions Group TRICARE Overseas Program (TOP)
The TOP program provides enrollment, marketing, and education services to military communities worldwide. It covers regions including the Pacific, Eurasia-Africa, Latin America, Canada, and the Global TRICARE Service Center in Trevose, PA.
Position Overview
Under minimal supervision, serve as TRICARE liaison for the TRICARE Overseas Prime (TOP) beneficiary population. Perform tasks related to customer service, enrollment/disenrollment, portability, education, and issue tracking. Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with professional standards. Report to the TOP Regional Lead for your specific region.
Responsibilities
1. Process registration of TRICARE beneficiaries in the Composite Health Care System (CHCS).
2. Handle enrollments, disenrollments, and portability transfers using the Defense Online Enrollment System (DOES).
3. Correct enrollment discrepancies between CHCS and DOES.
4. Assign primary care managers to beneficiaries.
5. Verify eligibility information for remote beneficiaries.
6. Provide education and enrollment information via phone and in person.
7. Assist walk-in beneficiaries with inquiries and enrollments.
8. Manage faxed enrollment forms.
9. Research policies and procedures to assist military staff and contacts.
10. Maintain electronic and paper files, ensuring data integrity.
11. Support the Military Treatment Facility Commander and TRICARE staff as directed.
12. Act as liaison for transitional/portability assistance between TRICARE Regional offices and beneficiaries.
13. Support transfer information processing for active duty portability.
14. Conduct off-site briefings and outreach as directed.
15. Assess beneficiary needs and determine appropriate assistance or referrals.
16. Handle Protected Health Information following HIPAA guidelines.
17. Complete required HIPAA and other training courses.
18. Maintain system accounts and security clearances.
19. Adhere to dress code at the TSC.
Required Education and Skills
Choose one of the following:
* Associate's degree (Bachelor’s preferred) plus four years of medical experience.
* Eight years of medical experience with no degree.
Cumulative experience in:
* U.S. military healthcare or civilian managed care environments.
* Medical or clinical settings.
* Using CHCS or similar healthcare computer systems and processing claims.
* Customer service in a public environment.
Additional requirements include eligibility for and maintenance of ADP II / IT II clearance, and adherence to dress code at the TSC.
Key Competencies
* Fluency in English; multilingual skills preferred.
* Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
* Ability to respond tactfully and work independently.
* Excellent organizational, attention to detail, and time management skills.
* Ability to multitask.
* Knowledge of TRICARE Overseas programs, DEERS, CHCS, and GIQD.
