The role focuses on the operational management of the boarding program, serving approximately 180 students. /p h3Job Description /h3 pThe Head of Boarding Operations will work alongside our Head of Boarding Pastoral Care, reporting directly to the Chief of Pastoral Care and Boarding. Responsibilities include vision, strategy and long‑term growth, seamless operations, staff leadership, and cross‑departmental coordination to support an exceptional residential experience. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liOversee day‑to‑day boarding operations across all houses. /li liCreate and maintain the monthly staff rota, ensuring adequate coverage. /li liManage emergency response procedures and coordinate with security, medical and facilities teams. /li liEnsure facilities meet safety, compliance and operational standards. /li liMaintain and update boarding policies, procedures and manuals. /li liSupervise administrative staff, house coordinators and boarding parents, providing guidance and performance appraisals. /li liConduct staff training and professional development focused on operational efficiency and compliance. /li liFacilitate regular team meetings and ensure consistent communication. /li liSupport recruitment and onboarding of new operational staff. /li liServe as primary liaison between boarding operations and other departments: facilities, catering, medical, security and marketing. /li liOversee operational data, incident reporting and documentation for compliance. /li liTrack and report key operational metrics (staff coverage, facility usage, incidents etc.). /li liManage the operational boarding budget and approve day‑to‑day expenditures. /li liSupport planning and logistics for boarding activities and events with other departments. /li liEnsure smooth execution of weekend programmes, trips and in‑house activities. /li liEnsure compliance with regulations, accreditation standards and internal policies. /li liConduct operational risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies. /li liPrepare for internal and external operational inspections. /li /ul h3Candidate Profile /h3 h3Experience Education /h3 ul liMinimum 5 years in a boarding school environment, preferably international. /li liAt least 8 years in managerial or supervisory roles, ideally in education or residential operations. /li liMaster’s degree preferred; Bachelor’s degree required. /li /ul h3Technical Skills /h3 ul liExpertise in scheduling and rota management. /li liStrong administrative skills: budgeting, reporting, compliance documentation. /li liProficiency in REACH. /li liKnowledge of boarding school operations, facilities management, health safety standards and emergency procedures. /li /ul h3Language Skills /h3 ul liMultilingual; professional proficiency in English and, ideally, Italian. /li /ul h3Schedule /h3 ul liMonday to Friday, 8:00–17:00; requires on‑campus residence and availability outside standard hours to support school or boarding initiatives. /li /ul h3Professional Growth /h3 pOpportunities for ongoing training, performance development and career advancement within Nord Anglia Education. /p h3Safeguarding /h3 pAll appointments are subject to child protection screening, references and background checks in line with our safer recruitment policy. /p /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
