Amazon Web Services (AWS) serves customers and developers who rely on storage, compute, and other service capabilities. AWS is growing rapidly and we are looking for a Security Services Manager to join our expanding Infrastructure Operations team. As a Security Services Manager you will drive operational security excellence within Data Centers, manage communications, improve physical surveillance and access controls, write and implement security procedures, and extract metrics from hard data. You will work at all levels, from theoretical knowledge of physical security principles to practical application and real‑world implementation of processes and measures.
Key Job Responsibilities
* Manage a chat queue, phone communications, generate and/or manage trouble tickets, handle incoming chats, and provide support to customers.
* Drive security awareness campaigns aimed at enhancing security vigilance and effectiveness.
* Experience with workflow ticketing and extraction/development of performance metrics.
* Configure physical security devices including cameras, readers, and panels.
* Support daily operational security across a data center campus.
* Distill overarching security strategy into daily tactics to reach management goals.

AWS Infrastructure Services (AIS) owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. You will a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate across AWS to deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers.
Basic Qualifications
* Experience with physical security best practices, including the application of physical security systems, investigation techniques, and management of contract security guards.
* 1+ years’ experience in an operations center, control room environment, or technical support experience.
* 2+ years’ experience with intrusion detection (alarm systems) and with video monitoring systems (CCTV).
Preferred Qualifications
* 2+ years of overseeing security operations and working with security vendors/contractors experience.
