We are seeking a talented Global Purchasing Manager Finished Goods AFM, to join our Purchasing team at Dayco.
Summary of the position:
The role leads and coordinates the Global Aftermarket Purchasing Team, working closely with the Global Purchasing Manager to manage and develop strategic suppliers.
Key responsibilities include driving cost reduction initiatives (Cost Out projects), identifying and developing new strategic suppliers, supporting supplier negotiations, and managing the procurement of new product lines and new SKUs within the NPI process.
The role also supports S&OP; initiatives and cross-functional supply chain projects to ensure alignment across the organization.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervise the request for quotation (RFQ) process.
Prepare sourcing approval recommendations
Supervision of request for quotations.
Prepare sourcing approval recommendations.
Coordination of commodity strategies and sourcing activities.
Define contracts with vendors and suppliers on pricing, lead time and terms of agreement
Work with SQE to set suppliers approval process.
Analyze spend for savings opportunities (internal and external).
Manage local teams and monitor Global Cost Out Projects .
Maintain consistent communication with suppliers (sampling) and Dayco engineering (testing) to ensure that new SKUs or COPs SKUs are approved.
Interface between suppliers and engineering/operations/marketing to answer any questions related to RFQ.
Search and development of current and new suppliers.
Set and monitor KPIs (cost savings, payment terms, Supplier scorecards).
Work with buyers to Maintain supplier profiles, supplier scorecards, supplier capabilities, supply agreements & contract files, price lists (through Suppliers Portal where active).
Coordinate the Suppliers Portal Administrator to keep the tool effective and updated
Support buyers to resolves any blocked invoices and resolve discrepancies related to price or quantity differences.
Support buyers to work with PMs to support the procurement of new SKUs (NPI process).
Work with SQE to be sure that any supplier is in compliance with Dayco Quality system.
Coordinate the Team to support ISO-9001 Quality Audits.

Requirements and Skills:
Minimum 7-8 years of experience in purchasing roles in the Automotive Aftermarket
Fluency in English
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Economics, or a related field.
Data Analysis and Excel Advanced Skills
ERP System Knowledge (SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards)
