We are seeking a qualified Fortran Developer / Scientific Software Engineer to support the development, validation, and maintenance of engineering calculation tools.
Key Responsibilities
* Analyze, develop, and test Fortran-based calculation models in accordance with physical laws and engineering specifications
* Translate technical inputs from NPI and RQS design engineers into structured computational logic
* Perform validation and verification of calculation results to ensure accuracy and consistency
* Maintain and optimize existing legacy codebases, improving performance and reliability
* Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to support product development and technical improvements
* Document methodologies, assumptions, and results to ensure traceability and reproducibility
* Support integration and interoperability with tools developed in C++ and VBA
Required Qualifications
* Degree in Engineering, Physics, Applied Mathematics, or a related technical discipline
* Proven experience in Fortran programming
* Good knowledge of C++ and/or VBA
* Solid understanding of:
* Numerical methods
* Scientific computing
* Physics-based modeling
* Experience in code testing, validation, and debugging of engineering calculations
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience in industrial sectors such as:
* Aerospace
* Automotive
* Energy
* Industrial engineering
* Familiarity with simulation environments (e.g., FEM, CFD)
* Experience working with legacy systems and code refactoring
* Knowledge of software validation and verification processes
