Ph3Product Sustainability Manager /h3 pLocation: Kortrijk, BE /p pAs Product Sustainability Manager and team manager, you are responsible for driving environmental compliance across the product portfolio and embedding ecodesign principles to minimize environmental impact. You lead a team of professionals focused on implementing sustainable practices throughout the product lifecycle—from responsible sourcing and manufacturing to promoting sustainable use and end‑of‑life strategies. /p pThis role requires a deep understanding of environmental regulations, impact reduction strategies, and strong leadership and collaboration skills to work effectively across cross‑functional teams and stakeholders. /p h3Key responsibilities /h3 h31. Manage Environmental Management Systems (EMS) /h3 pOversee the company’s EMS for products and suppliers worldwide, including waste management, ecodesign, hazardous chemical compliance, supplier due diligence. Stay up to date with global environmental regulations (e.g., RoHS, REACH, WEEE, ESPR, CBAM, EU TAX) and ensure all products meet compliance standards. /p h32. Manage environmental Product Sustainability Strategy /h3 ul liDevelop and implement Barco’s global product environmental sustainability strategy, aligning with corporate goals and Barco’s overall sustainability strategy. Coordinate initiatives to improve the environmental performance of Barco products, focusing on eco‑design, lifecycle assessments, circularity and green claims. /li liImplement the Ecoscore framework in line with stakeholder expectations. /li liIdentify and implement innovative materials, technologies, and processes that enhance product sustainability and circularity. /li /ul h33. Lead Supplier Product Sustainability Program /h3 pIn collaboration with Global Procurement to manage Barco’s Supplier Sustainability Program. /p h34. Manage Environmental Compliance Office /h3 pLead a team of sustainability professionals: environmental, compliance and data engineers. Foster team dynamics and ambitious road maps and team KPIs. /p h35. Coordinate Global Sustainability Networks /h3 ul liLead the Green Knowledge Owners team, a global network across all Barco sites, to share best practices and drive sustainability compliance initiatives. /li liParticipate and contribute to the Barco Sustainability Lead Meetings representing the BU sustainability leads. /li liAct as the primary contact for industry associations (e.g., Agoria, Avixa, COCIR), NGOs, and research institutions on product environmental sustainability, and supply chain transparency. /li liRepresent Barco in European and international institutions to advocate for favourable environmental compliance and environmental sustainability policies. /li /ul h36. Train and Engage Stakeholders /h3 pDevelop and deliver training programmes to raise awareness and build capacity on product environmental sustainability topics across all Barco departments worldwide. /p h37. Contribute to Barco’s general sustainability strategy /h3 pManage key product activities of Barco’s Executive Sustainability Steering Committee in close collaboration with the Barco sustainability manager. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and BU sustainability leads to ensure sustainability is embedded in all product‑related decisions. /p p8. Analyses and Communication including support to ESG Reporting Activities /p pContribute to Barco’s Annual Report activities (including audits and assurance) related to the product sustainability. Offer support to ESG ratings such as CDP Ecovadis. Coordinate LCA reporting dedicated environmental product‑specific customer requests and research projects. /p h3Your profile : Education /h3 ul liUniversity degree (ecology, law, chemistry, engineering) or 2–5 years of experience in a similar job. /li liMust have passion for product sustainability and technology interests. /li /ul h3Competencies /h3 ul liStrong influencing and negotiating skills /li liExcellent communication and presentation skills /li liLeadership skills and ability to take decisions /li liAbility to present information to different audiences and to different levels of the organisation /li liStrong passion for sustainability and environmental‑related topics /li liAffinity with the EU regulatory process and institutions /li liGood understanding of legal language and of regulatory texts /li liGood networking skills /li /ul h3Experience /h3 ul liKnowledge / Experience of product sustainability and environmental topics: toxic materials, waste management, EpR, energy efficiency, environmental regulations, environmental management systems, Life Cycle Assessment and Carbon accounting and analysis. /li liExperience in public / regulatory affairs and/or product compliance / certification /li liExperience of managing processes and procedures and leading a team /li liExperience with management or reporting systems. /li /ul /p
