Amazon Web Services (AWS) is growing rapidly and is searching for a Data Center Operations Manager to join our expanding Infrastructure Operations team in Milan.Key job responsibilities
SafetyFollow and maintain the highest safety standards. Encourage a world-class safety culture and own safety initiatives and projects.Data Center Operations (DCO)
Review ticket queues for large events and act accordingly.Manage and deliver mid-size projects.Recommend, write, and oversee policies and procedures to meet industry best practices and the required SLA.Manage a diverse and talented team of Data Center Technicians with varying skills.Maintain the on-call schedule and coordinate absences and vacations to ensure 24/7 operations.Participate in on-call rotation for emergency calls.Write and deliver performance reviews for staff.

Direct people management experience and a proven track record of delivering projects despite competing priorities.Understanding of IT Operations and Service Management practices.Fluent English communication.Experience with IT infrastructure domains such as compute server platforms, storage server platforms, server components, network devices, cabling best practices, and IT service delivery principles.Understanding of critical electrical, HVAC control, and Change Management Systems (CMS).Prior ownership of the operation of a mission-critical team or product.Project Management experience.
