Position Summary
We are looking for a Service Engineer to join our Service team. He/she will be responsible for providing technical support for the entire Lazio Region. The Service Engineer performs preventive and corrective maintenance on STERIS / Cantel product lines and conducts field troubleshooting primarily in their service area within the country.
Duties
* Perform installations, preventive and corrective maintenance on STERIS / Cantel product lines, related product lines, and competitive equipment. This includes disassembling, replacing, or repairing defective parts; rewiring or reassembling as required; troubleshooting, adjusting/calibrating, and certifying equipment using standard and specialized tools and test equipment (e.g., schematics, diagrams, technical manuals).
* Complete administrative duties such as daily computer synchronization, service reports, and maintaining tools and parts inventory as required by Team Leaders and Service Manager.
* Utilize corporate applications (Siebel, Oracle, Sales Connection, others) for daily activities.
* Develop and maintain effective communication with customers, managers, support functions, and the sales organization.
* Maintain professionalism and courtesy when interacting with customers, contractors, management, and colleagues. Follow customer protocols and abide by all STERIS and Customer Health & Safety protocols and procedures.
* Provide solutions to customers to promote sales and growth through effective positioning of STERIS / Cantel products and services, identifying opportunities, and passing leads to management and sales teams.
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or GED required.
* Minimum of 2 years of industry-related experience and a general knowledge of operating washing and sterilization processing units preferred.
* Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel (up to 80%).
Good troubleshooting skills and proven organizational attitude are essential.
Sufficient technical knowledge of the English language is required.
Completion of recognized mechanical, electrical, or electronic technical training is necessary.
