WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Operations Engineer (Linux and Kubernetes) – Space Mission
Join our client’s team in Rome as an Operations Engineer (Linux and Kubernetes). With over 30 years of experience, our client is a trusted partner of European governments and international organizations, specializing in IT and space services.
YOUR TASKS
* Oversee real-time monitoring and operation of ESA missions.
* Diagnose, resolve, and prevent operational issues.
* Analyse system performance and optimize processes.
* Develop scripts to automate tasks.
* Assist with new projects and system integrations.
* Maintain operational procedures and documentation.
* Perform routine application maintenance.
YOUR SKILLS
* Proficient in Linux
* Proficient in Shell Scripting
* Proficient in Docker and Kubernetes
* Knowledge of storage and cloud technologies
* Expertise in troubleshooting and process optimization .
* Understanding of networking concepts
* Experience in requirements analysis
* Excellent command of English (B2 or higher)
NICE TO HAVE
* Basic knowledge of Grafana, Kibana, HTML, XML, Apache, Tomcat, Python, OpenLDAP, MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and Elasticsearch
* Knowledge of the ESA Environment and Satellite product standards
* Experience in monitoring and operating satellite missions

* Ability to work in an international environment
