At Shakers, we connect top freelance talent with innovative projects across Europe. For this role, we are looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join a long-term, remote-first project focused on building a next-generation AI-powered development platform .
What You'll Do
* Design and develop scalable, secure, high-performance web applications.
* Build modern, responsive UIs using React and TypeScript/JavaScript .
* Develop backend services and APIs in Python or Node.js .
* Work with relational (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and document databases (MongoDB).
* Collaborate with AI/ML teams to integrate AI-driven features.
* Optimize applications for speed, scalability, and reliability.
* Contribute to system architecture and technical decisions.
* Apply CI/CD practices and Infrastructure as Code.
* Work in an agile, cross-functional team environment.
What We're Looking For
* 7+ years of experience in full stack development in product-driven companies.
* Strong proficiency in React, JavaScript/TypeScript .
* Proficiency in at least one backend language ( Python or Node.js preferred ).
* Experience with PostgreSQL/MySQL and MongoDB .
* Solid understanding of modern software engineering practices (testing, CI/CD, version control).
* Fluent in English and Italian
* Curiosity about Generative AI tools and workflows.
Nice-to-Have:
* Experience with developer platforms, SDKs, or AI tooling.
* Familiarity with FastAPI or REST best practices.
* Contributions to open-source projects.
