Overview Contract Manager – Capital Project Contracts (Pharmaceutical Industry) Are you an experienced Contract Manager looking to make an impact on large-scale capital projects? We’re seeking a detail-oriented professional to join our team and play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of engineering and construction projects within the pharmaceutical and process industries. What You’ll Do Be responsible for the day-to-day administration of project contracts, ensuring compliance with best practices, frameworks, and contractual obligations. Work closely with Project Managers, Procurement, and wider project teams to ensure contracts are executed efficiently, risks are managed, and all stakeholders remain aligned. Support Project Managers in developing contracting strategies, tendering, negotiations, and contract finalisation. Administer contracts throughout their lifecycle, from award to close-out, ensuring obligations are fulfilled. Maintain and manage contract documentation, registers, and electronic systems. Lead and manage commercial meetings, payment evaluations, change controls, and dispute avoidance efforts. Provide expert guidance on contractual processes, risks, and impacts of schedule or cost changes. Support supplier relationship management, contractor performance monitoring, and audits. Ensure compliance with insurance, bonds, warranties, and other contractual securities. Collaborate with Project Controls, Finance, and Procurement to ensure smooth project delivery. Lead contract close-out activities, preparing reports and ensuring proper documentation. What We’re Looking For 7 years’ experience in contract administration/management on capital projects. Expert knowledge of EU-standard construction and engineering contracts. Strong understanding of commercial, legal, and financial concepts within contract management. Experience in pharmaceutical projects (or alternatively chemical/process industries). Knowledge of insurance, guarantees, warranties, and ADR (Alternative Dispute Resolution). Strong communication skills – fluent in Italian and English. Detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of building strong relationships across teams and contractors.
