Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
1. Oversees the Housekeeping Department and allocates the available resources to achieve the organizational goals
2. Maintain par stock of guest supplies, cleaning supplies, linen and uniform
3. Organize inventories with accounts and general stores for linen, uniform and fixed assets
4. Develop and implement Housekeeping systems and procedures
5. Assist Purchase department in selecting suppliers for items related to Housekeeping
6. Resolves guest problems quickly, efficiently and courteously
7. Organize on-the job training and evaluate its effectiveness
8. Recommend recruitment of new personnel
9. Evaluates the job performance of housekeeping staff & fills their appraisals
10. Proficiently performs all tasks related to Housekeeping
11. Feed, monitors and acts upon all reports related to housekeeping and laundry
12. Maintains coordination & good communication with other
Core Competencies
13. Fluent in English & Italian is a must
14. 2 years of hospitality experience is a plus
15. Strong operational/technical knowledge
16. Must be a natural host and passionate about the hospitality industry in general
17. Flexible schedule - long hours and regular evening event coverage is common
18. Ability to make thoughtful decisions and give constructive criticism
19. Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by guests
20. Maintains regular attendance in compliance with Aethos Hotel Standards, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the hotel
21. Comply with Aethos Hotel Standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations
22. Maximizes efforts towards productivity, identifies problem areas, and assists in implementing solutions
23. Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times, whilst remaining genuine
24. A team player with strong leadership and organizational skills
