You’ll contribute to the development of AI solutions across different domains — from Earth Observation and predictive analytics to natural language processing and computer vision. This role is designed to help you learn by doing, with dedicated support and mentoring. You will be based at our offices in Frascati, Italy. What You’ll Learn & Do Support the design and development of AI models in areas like image analysis, time-series forecasting, and text processing. Work with real datasets, including satellite images, sensor data, and unstructured text. Learn how to train, test, and evaluate models using popular frameworks like TensorFlow and PyTorch. Gain hands-on experience in MLOps practices, including data preparation, model tracking, and versioning. Collaborate with professionals from Earth sciences, engineering, and data science to build end-to-end solutions. Explore topics such as feature-detection, super-resolution, anomaly detection, and Large Language Models (LLMs). Contribute to internal demos and prototypes under the guidance of senior team members. Who you are A recent graduate or final-year student in AI, Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or a related field. Curious, proactive, and eager to learn. Experience in Python and machine learning (even through university projects). Familiarity with libraries like Scikit-Learn, Keras, PyTorch, or TensorFlow. Interest in Earth Observation, AI or space applications is very welcome! Nice to have (but not mandatory) You’ve played around with notebooks like Google Colab or Kaggle. You’ve followed an online course or project related to AI (e.g., Coursera, Udacity, etc.). You know what a Docker container is — even if you haven’t used one yet. Interest in cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) or high-performance computing (HPC) is a plus.
