About Us The "Mechanical and Environment, MGSE Definition and Operations" unit within the Turin AIT center handles mechanical integration and testing of complex systems such as scientific satellites and orbital infrastructure, including MGSE items definition and procurement. The department also organizes environmental test campaigns and manages test facilities. About The Job This role involves organizing and conducting activities to identify Mechanical Ground Support Equipment (MGSE) needs for projects, defining functional and design requirements, and providing technical support during procurement and acceptance. You may also be involved in MGSE integration, dismounting, packing activities, and supporting test setup preparations. Specific Tasks Defining MGSE procurement technical requirements and specifications. Preparing MGSE requirements traceability and verification matrices (using DOORS if required). Creating preliminary CAD sketches for MGSE design solutions. Conducting trade-offs to evaluate available commercial items/tools for MGSE use. Ensuring MGSE compliance with flight hardware and facilities, including CAD layout of test setups. Supporting procurement with RFQ preparation and collection. Reviewing supplier offers and providing technical evaluations for supplier selection. Reviewing MGSE documentation during key project phases (PDR, CDR, TRR, PTR, DRB). Participating in supplier main events and acceptance tests. Providing ongoing technical support during procurement. Assisting project teams in preparing installation procedures for MGSE in clean rooms. Supporting MGSE installation, removal, and packing activities during AIT phases. Assisting in setup preparations for AIT flow. Collaborating with other departments on S/C configuration, accessibility, and testing activities. About You Education and Experience Bachelor or Master in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering. Proficiency in English; knowledge of French is a plus. Experience in MGSE design and/or tooling manufacturing for aerospace systems. Skills and Knowledge Proficiency with Windows applications and Microsoft Office. Experience with 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, CATIA, Dassault). Knowledge of DOORS is advantageous. Knowledge of FEM analysis tools and alignment tools is a plus. Personal Abilities Manual dexterity for setup activities. Organizational skills and ability to prioritize. Methodical approach and stress resilience. Teamwork and communication skills.
