About the Role
For our headquarters in Cesena, we are seeking a candidate to join our R&D team as a
* Mechanical Prototype Lab Team Leader
The successful candidate will collaborate closely with R&D colleagues and various departments, managing prototype activities, testing laboratory, and prototype material warehouse.
Responsibilities
* Ensure assembly of preliminary (biomechanical models) and final prototypes, either internally or externally, based on technical needs
* Procure materials, components, and parts from suppliers or warehouses for prototype creation
* Organize and manage the prototype materials warehouse, including receipt, storage, maintenance, and distribution
* Prepare machines/prototypes and set up laboratory areas; coordinate transportation for external labs
* Manage the prototype and pre-series machine warehouse, including logistics for field tests and market products
* Support testing laboratories in equipment and process engineering for internal manufacturing needs
* Provide technical and operational feedback to designers during prototype assembly
* Organize, equip, plan, and oversee the laboratory operations, ensuring safety compliance
Requirements
* Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Degree in Mechanical Engineering
* Previous experience in mechanical processing/transformations
* Experience as workshop supervisor (preferable)
* Knowledge of Industrial Drawing and Tolerances
* Understanding of manufacturing technologies, machining, and MU
* Experience in welding and carpentry
* Ability to plan activities and resources
* Experience in managing projects and inventory
* Organizational skills for workshop operations
* Ability to communicate effectively with involved departments
* Knowledge of workplace safety regulations
