As Software Engineer, Platform, you'll build the platform that powers how CommerceClarity's AI agents are designed, orchestrated, deployed, and operated at scale. We believe agent development is an evolution of software development — and that requires new tools, new infrastructure, and new primitives. You'll be one of the people inventing them.
You'll work on the systems that make our Agent Engineers and customer-facing teams move faster: runtime infrastructure, developer tooling, deployment pipelines, observability, and the abstractions that turn complexity into clarity. You'll partner closely with the Tech Lead, Agent Engineers, and the founders on the architecture decisions that shape how the product scales.
Key Responsibilities
* Build the platform primitives that power agent development at CommerceClarity — runtime, orchestration, internal tooling
* Design and ship services in Laravel/PHP and Python at production scale
* Model and operate data infrastructure across MongoDB and relational DBs for high‐volume catalog workloads
* Own the full DevOps lifecycle: IaC, CI/CD, observability, security, high availability
* Build internal tools and workflows that accelerate how the engineering team ships
* Partner with Agent Engineers, Tech Lead, and founders on architecture, performance, and reliability decisions
* Raise the engineering bar — clean abstractions, maintainable systems, and the discipline to keep complexity out
Who You Are
Essential
* 5+ years building production systems with significant ownership
* Hands‐on experience building or operating AI‐powered products in production — LLMs, agents, RAG, evals, or related
* Strong systems thinker, comfortable across multiple languages and stacks — you pick the right tool, you don't get attached to one
* Production experience with both document and relational databases in high‐traffic scenarios
* Solid DevOps background: IaC, CI/CD, observability, security
* Deep care for reliability, maintainability, and clean abstractions — pride in systems that hold up
* High agency: comfortable making fast decisions with incomplete information and iterating
* Clear thinking, low ego, high standards, openness to feedback
* Fluent in English with strong written communication
* Daily AI‐native worker — you use Claude, Cursor, or similar to multiply your output
Nice to have
* Experience building developer platforms, SDKs, or internal tooling
* Distributed systems background
* Experience building AI‐powered or LLM‐based products in production
* Technical leadership on cross‐functional projects
* Background in e‐commerce, retail data, or marketplace systems
* Exposure to LLM agent orchestration or evaluation frameworks
