Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this role is pivotal in aligning legal operations with the company's broader growth strategy. If you are passionate about providing strategic legal advice and ensuring compliance in a fast-paced sector, we want to hear from you! MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Draft, review, negotiate, and advise on a wide variety of legal documents, including but not limited to commercial, distribution, safety, manufacturing, IT/software, labour, and marketing agreements.
2. Provide proactive guidance on regulatory and compliance matters to ensure full adherence to applicable legal, statutory, and contractual obligations.
3. Support and manage the company’s trademark and patent portfolio in coordination with external IP agents, ensuring robust protection of intellectual property.
4. Oversee and maintain the contracts management system to ensure accessibility, organization, and compliance.
5. Assist in M&A activities, including due diligence, disclosure processes, and the drafting and negotiation of sale and purchase agreements.
6. Handle and resolve contractual disputes in a timely and effective manner.
7. Draft and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements critical to business operations and strategic partnerships.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
8. 5-10 years of experience within the pharmaceutical (or related field) industry, either in-house at a pharmaceutical company or within a law firm being focused primarily on the pharmaceutical sector (preferred).
9. Experience with corporate & commercial contracts/agreements, IP, compliance, dispute resolution, and data protection.
10. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with the ability to pivot quickly in response to changing market conditions.
11. Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders at all levels.
12. High level of attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness in all aspects of strategy development and execution.
