Position: Legal and GDPR Manager
Key Responsibilities:
1.Legal Compliance:
* Provide comprehensive legal support and advice to the company on various matters, including contracts, regulatory compliance, intellectual property, and litigation.
* Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of legal documents, including supplier agreements, customer contracts, and partnership agreements.
* Manage and resolve legal disputes and potential litigation in coordination with external counsel.
2.GDPR and Data Protection:
* Serve as the primary point of contact for GDPR compliance, ensuring the company’s adherence to all data protection laws and regulations.
* Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures to ensure compliance with GDPR and other relevant data protection regulations.
* Conduct regular audits and assessments of data protection practices, and provide training and guidance to employees on GDPR-related matters.
* Manage data subject requests, data breaches, and report incidents to relevant authorities when necessary.
3.Regulatory Strategy and Policy Development:
* Monitor and interpret new laws, regulations, and industry developments impacting the automotive sector, and proactively advise on necessary adjustments to company policies and practices.
* Develop and implement internal policies, guidelines, and procedures to ensure legal and regulatory compliance.
* Represent the company in discussions with regulatory bodies and industry associations on compliance and data protection issues.
4.Risk Management:
* Identify and assess legal and data protection risks associated with business operations, and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
* Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, HR, and Product Development, to ensure that data protection requirements are integrated into business processes and product development lifecycles. \
5.Training and Awareness:
* Develop and deliver training programs to employees on legal and data protection compliance topics.
* Promote a culture of compliance and data privacy awareness throughout the organization.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* At least 7+ years of legal experience (private practice and/or in-house), background in the automobile industry is preferred.
* In-depth knowledge of Health Italy regulations, industry standards, and best practices.
* Significant experience in risk management, compliance program development, and legal contract negotiations.
* Proven ability to advise senior management and business units on complex legal issues, with a focus on entrepreneurship and agility.
* Strong project management skills with the ability to lead high-priority initiatives in a rapidly evolving business landscape.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams.
* Proficiency in Italian and English (both written and spoken) is essential.
* Ability to work independently and in coordination with cross-functional and international teams.
