Project Engineer role at Northland Controls
Northland Control Systems, Inc. is looking for a Project Engineer in Malaysia. The mission of the Project Engineer is to provide full support to the PMO, Program, and Project Managers by assisting with the scheduling, planning, forecasting, resourcing, and managing of technical activities to ensure project accuracy and quality.
Responsibilities
* Assists and supports both the PMO, Project and Program Managers by coordinating project schedules, resources, equipment documentation and information
* Liaises with clients to identify and define project requirements, scope, and objectives
* Ensures client needs are met as the project evolves
* Participates in site meetings
* Assists in preparing action plans using resources from time and budget projects
* Ensures all projects are completed on time, within budget and with high quality standards
* Assists in monitoring the project progress and responds to issues as they arise
* Acts as a point of contact and communicates project status to all participants
* Works with project and program managers to eliminate project blockers
* Uses tools to monitor working hours, plans and expenses / expenditures
* Creates and maintains project documentation, plans and reports
* Ensures standards and requirements are met through conducting quality assurance tests
* Manages small moves, adds, and changes
* Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
* A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
* 2 or more years\' field and project planning experience.
* Strong working knowledge of Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Planner, Project)
* Strong working knowledge of BlueBeam and PlanGrid
* Ability to prepare and interpret flowcharts, schedules and step-by-step action plans
* Knowledge of applicable codes, policies, standards, and best practices.
