As an Expert Geodata Modeler, you will join the Global Natural Resources Department. Specifically, within the Exploration function, your team will be responsible for providing High-Performance Computing solutions that implement innovative Geoscience algorithms and workflows to support geophysical data analysis.Key tasks
Development of tools and workflows for quantitative analysis and interpretation of geophysical and geological data in a multidisciplinary context and with an agile approachAnalysis of user requirements and their formalizationDefinition of possible implementation solutionsImplementation using high-level languages and application of the most modern software engineering methodologiesValidation of functionality and resultsIndustrialization on High Performance Computing systems (>20,000 CPU‐cores, >2,000 GPU)Interaction with line groups for the effective dissemination of new technologies and their application to line projects
Required characteristics
Master's degree in Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Statistics, or Geophysics. Other qualifications, including lower‐level qualifications, may be considered based on significant experience in the field
The achievement of Doctorates, Masters or post‐graduate courses related to the topics covered for the role will be considered a plus.
At least 3 years of experience in industrial software development in parallel computing environments or in research and development in geophysical data processing and imagingExperience in performance profiling and optimization by balancing memory, I/O and compute requirementsKnowledge of high‐level programming languages, object‐oriented programming, and software engineering tools and methodologiesGood knowledge of the English languageAvailability for national and international mobility
