BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT:

The United Nations World Food Programme is the world's largest humanitarian agency fighting hunger worldwide. The mission of WFP is to help the world achieve Zero Hunger in our lifetimes. Every day, WFP works worldwide to ensure that no child goes to bed hungry and that the poorest and most vulnerable, particularly women and children, can access the nutritious food they need.

The HR Technology and Analytics Branch - HRMOI is responsible for on-going support to critical HR operational processes through the appropriate provision and application of information, processes and enabling technologies. It is also responsible for the developing of the HR Division Technology strategy and roadmap that will support integrated talent management processes, enable full visibility into our global workforce by deploying a technology solution that integrates people processes, data and intelligence from corporate and satellite systems and databases, and will provide workforce analytics and tools to support evidence-based decision making across people-related processes (in particular workforce planning, recruitment, reassignment and deployment to emergencies).

The Branch consists of three teams:

(1) HR Technology Deployment;

(2) HR Systems Administration and Support;

(3) HR Reporting & Analytics.

ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under the general supervision and guidance of the Team Leader of the HR Analytics Work-stream, the HR Reporting & Analytics Consultant will support Core acitivites in the Reporting Team:

Discovery activities to establish the extraction, transformation and quality requirements from source to target systems.

Conduct data cleansing and data verification activities (quality, data source).

Perform data preparation, reporting and data analysis.

Validate the Data Mapping and data Quality in target systems.

Prepare HR statistical reports for WFP management at HQs, HR practitioners and Management in WFP field-based offices.

Analyse and reconcile HR data on a monthly basis.

Provide quality control staffing data extracted from various WFP corporate systems, Workday, SAP (WINGSII), Business Warehouse (BW), and PASport (Local Payroll).

Resolve issues related to reporting and analytics in the Workday case management system

Assist with the drafting of communication and training materials.

Collaborate on AI-related initiatives, including data preparation,data testing, model input/output validation.

Any other duties as required.

DELIVERABLES AT THE END OF THE CONTRACT:

- Reporting and analytics delivered to customer in a timely and accurate manner.

- Statistical analysis is provided in support of projects.

- Data quality is monitored, and stakeholders are informed.

- Data assets and sources are updated in a timely and accurate manner.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Education:

University undergraduate or graduate with experience and training courses in one or more of the following disciplines: statistics and/or information technology or any other related fields.

Experience & Skills:

Experience with data analysis and reporting.

Experience in using Microsoft Excel, Power Point, SAP, Workday

Excellent communication skills.

Languages:

Fluency in oral and written English with an intermediate knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian and Spanish) or Portuguese (one of WFP's working languages).
