Junior quality assurance engineer (rozzano)

RINA is currently recruiting for a Junior Quality Assurance Engineer to join its office in Bolzano within the Sustainability and Business Innovation Division.MissionThe selected candidate will support Product Assurance activities within complex engineering programs in the Defense Automotive sector, ensuring the proper implementation of quality processes, configuration management practices, and compliance with applicable military and automotive standards. The role will contribute to monitoring the quality of project deliverables, verifying technical documentation, supporting system validation activities, and assisting the project team in achieving milestones, ensuring alignment with company quality management systems and defence automotive regulations and standards applicable to military vehicle development.Key AccountabilitiesEnsure the correct application of the Project Quality Plan and support the project team in achieving quality objectives and process compliance.Verify the correct implementation of company quality processes and standards (e.G., ISO 9001, IATF 16949, AQAP 2110 / AQAP 2310) within project activities.Review and support the approval of technical documentation and specifications, contributing to the release of the Technical Data Package (e.G., drawings, bills of materials, wiring diagrams, technical requirements, analyses, reports, and test procedures).Support product acceptance and verification activities, including document checks and validation of test tools and procedures for qualification and validation of military vehicles and subsystems.EducationMaster’s Degree in Automotive Engineering or Mechanical EngineeringQualificationsAt least 1 year of experience in Quality Assurance or Product Assurance in engineering or industrial environments, preferably in automotive or defence sectorsKnowledge of Quality Management Systems and standards such as ISO 9001, IATF 16949, AQAP 2110 / 2310, and familiarity with NATO or military standards (e.G., STANAG, MIL-STD where applicable).Ability to review and assess technical documentation, specifications, and engineering deliverables.Basic understanding of system integration, verification, and validation activities in complex systems (vehicles or subsystems).CompetenciesWORKPLACE DYNAMICS – Resourcefulness in shaping progress and working efficiently.PERSONAL EMPOWERMENT – Ownership for life, work and results, striving to grow professionally and personally.INTERPERSONAL INFLUENCE – Skills and strategies we use to interact effectively with others.DOMAIN & BUSINESS ACUMEN – Applying a scientific approach and critical thinking in operations and solution development within area of expertise.FORESIGHT & INSIGHT – Context awareness adopting a systemic perspective and informed decision making.RINA is a multinational company providing a wide range of services in the energy, marine, certification, infrastructure & mobility, industry, research & development sectors.
