This pivotal leadership role is responsible for designing, directing and optimizing material procurement, warehouse management, logistics, and supply chain operations flow in alignment with the company’s Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost (SQDC) standards. /p pThe Material and Logistics Manager will serve as a People Leader, driving strategic initiatives, developing high‑performing teams, and collaborating closely with cross‑functional stakeholders. The role also requires managing the complexities of operating with customs while ensuring full regulatory compliance and operational efficiency of inbound/outbound processes. /p pThe role is intended to be performed on‑site 100%. /p h3Job Description /h3 h3People Leadership and Team Development /h3 ul liLead, mentor, and develop the material, logistics, and warehouse teams, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, quality and continuous improvement. /li liSet clear objectives, conduct performance reviews, and support employee development and succession planning. /li /ul h3Compliance, Safety Quality /h3 ul liLead by example promoting a strong safety and quality culture and ensure adherence to all health, safety, environmental, compliance and quality requirements. /li liAssume the role of “Dirigente per la Sicurezza” and “Preposto” in accordance with Italian Legislative Decree 81/08 (D.Lgs. 81/08), with responsibility for implementing and ensuring compliance with all health and safety requirements. /li liBe responsible for EHS and the Quality matters for the line, promoting and leading continuous improvement following the general principles of the Safety Decree Law 81/08 and the standards of ISO 45001 and 14001. /li /ul h3Warehouse Logistics Management /h3 ul liDesign, oversee and optimize inbound and outbound logistics operations to ensure efficient movement of materials, components, and finished goods. /li liDesign and coordinate site‑wide warehouse and logistics flow design in collaboration with EHS, Operations and Lean teams. /li liLead all warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, kitting, issuing, and dispatching of materials and components. /li liImplement best practices in warehouse controls, cycle counting, material traceability, and inventory accuracy. /li liImplement advanced logistics solutions, systems, and technologies to enhance visibility, reliability, and cost efficiency. /li liDesign and manage inbound and outbound flows in accordance with custom regulations. /li liMonitor and report EHS, quality, delivery, cost KPIs and drive continuous improvement. /li /ul h3Strategic Material Procurement /h3 ul liDevelop, implement, and continuously refine procurement strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials and components. /li liLead supplier negotiations, contract management, and sourcing strategies to secure favorable commercial and operational outcomes. /li /ul h3Inventory Optimization /h3 ul liDesign and execute inventory management strategies to balance service levels and working capital objectives. /li liLeverage data analytics and demand forecasting to optimize inventory levels and reduce excess or obsolete stock. /li /ul h3Cross‑Functional Coordination /h3 ul liCollaborate closely with production, planning, quality, engineering, and finance teams to align material and logistics activities with business and operational objectives. /li liLead cross‑functional initiatives to improve end‑to‑end supply chain performance. /li /ul h3Required Qualifications /h3 ul liBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field; or equivalent experience. /li liA Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CSCP, CPL, or equivalent) is preferred. /li liProven significant experience in material management, logistics, or supply chain roles within a manufacturing or service environment. /li liProven experience as a People Leader, managing and developing teams. /li liDemonstrated experience in warehouse management and logistics operations. /li liStrong leadership, strategic thinking, and stakeholder management skills. /li liFluency in English and Italian written and spoken. /li /ul h3Desired Characteristics /h3 ul liPrevious experience in aeroderivative turbine operations or aerospace-related environments is highly desirable. /li liProven ability to design and implement effective material, warehouse, and logistics strategies at a senior level. /li liStrong EHS, Quality and compliance mindset. /li liStrong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making capabilities. /li liExcellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present to senior management. /li liDemonstrated ability to work effectively in a cross‑functional and multicultural environment. /li /ul h3About Us /h3 pAero Service Technologies Italy is an emerging company with deep expertise in the overhaul of aeroderivative turbines.
