In this pivotal role, you will manage a multidisciplinary team, ensuring the achievement of corporate objectives in terms of quality, timelines, and costs. /ppstrongKey Responsibilities /strong /ppstrongResource Management: /strong /ppSupervise, lead, and develop a team of Flight (Embedded) Software engineers. /ppAutonomously manage technical and engineering tasks and project responsibilities assignment based on team member's skills and according to the company priorities. /ppManage workloads of the team and ensure a collaborative and productive work environment with the program managers and program assurance managers. /ppAutonomously manage the talent acquisition, recruitment and onboarding of new hires. /ppIdentify growth opportunities, training needs and promote the professional development career of the Flight Software engineers part of your Group. /ppAccountable of the continuous improvement of processes, tools and performance, also through the coordination of team retrospectives, lesson learnt and return of experience. /ppProcesses/Procedures/Standard definition, improvement and maintenance. /ppScouting, identification and selection of tools for the Flight Software discipline. /ppDefine, maintain, monitor and dissemination of the Flight Software group KPIs. /ppstrongProject Planning and Management: /strong /ppLiaising with Project Manager and Project Leader to support project activities planning and execution, ensuring Flight Software group engineering capability is available with respect to the project needs. /ppAct as the technical owner for any topic related to the Flight Software engineering discipline, including contribute/review of technical specifications, technical and operational risks, and project goals. /ppstrongTechnical Coordination: /strong /ppOversee the design and development of real-time mission critical and safety critical firmware and software applications. /ppConsult with suppliers, customers, and external partners to define requirements and provide technical support. /ppIdentify and proactively communicate technical and programmatic risks and challenges, developing mitigation strategies and implementing rapid, effective solutions. /ppstrongRequirements: /strong /ppAt least 10 years of experience in leadership roles within the embedded software discipline applied in the aerospace sector. /ppProven experience in managing technical teams and complex projects. /ppIn-depth knowledge of space industry regulations, standards (e.g. ECSS), and applicable certifications in the Flight Software discipline. /ppExcellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. /pulliFull professional proficiency in the English language is mandatory. /li /ulpstrongEducation /strong /pp· Master's degree in computer engineering, electronic engineering, aerospace engineering or related fields /ppAt D-Orbit, diversity and inclusivity are not just values, they are integral to our mission and the way we operate.
