Job Description
We are looking for a Process Improvement Manager who will manage activities related to process improvement initiatives, monitoring, and stewardship. This person will provide technical support about manufacturing processes, investigations, optimization, yield improvement projects, cycle time reduction, and process robustness. They will also oversee product and process investigations, product impact assessment, risk assessment, and collaborate with other departments to ensure an integrated and cohesive approach.
The successful candidate will have experience in managing complex projects, implementing innovative technologies, and anticipating changes. They will be able to solve complex problems, develop strategic plans for departmental growth and operational efficiency, and lead the team in achieving these goals.
Our ideal candidate has a Master's or PhD degree in technical/scientific education, preferably pharmaceutical sciences, chemistry, biotechnology, bioinformatics, or pharma-process engineering. They should have 5-7 years of previous experience in a leadership role, particularly in plasma fractionation processes or the biotechnology field. Knowledge of proteins, GMP/GDP, and experience in process validation are highly desirable.
As a Process Improvement Manager, you will be responsible for developing the team, providing strategic direction, and support in complex scenarios. You will also be expected to elevate the capabilities of the organization for now and the future, finding innovative ways to serve patients, build reputation, and trust.
In addition to your technical expertise, you will possess excellent leadership and team management skills, strong strategic orientation, analytical thinking ability, communication, collaboration, and influencing skills. You will be proficient in continuous improvement processes, statistics, data analysis, six-sigma methodology, and DMAIC. Fluency in Italian and English is required.
You will work in a controlled environment requiring special gowning and wearing protective clothing. You may need to remove all make-up, jewelry, contact lenses, nail polish, and/or artificial fingernails while in the manufacturing environment.
