Sales Application Engineer - Fire Detection Systems will report directly to the regional team supervisor. You will be based and work from home or a local office, supporting sales and growth initiatives in the EMEA region by providing application support for Johnson Control EN Global Products' fire detection portfolio and PAVA systems, including addressable and conventional fire detection ranges and accessories. You will communicate directly with system distributors, installers, commissioning engineers, and end-users. As part of the sales engineering team, you will collaborate closely with sales, customer service, inside sales, marketing, training, and R&D departments. How you will do it Provide product support to customers and sales teams as an application engineer. Support the full product range of fire detection systems using JCI fire detection software tools to deliver solutions tailored to site and customer requirements, including PAVA systems. Participate in product-specific training to ensure ongoing personal development. Engage with consultants, designers, project managers, and end-users by providing application services for fire detection and PAVA systems, and advising on projects according to international codes & standards such as EN, BS, NFPA, UL. What we look for Bachelor’s Degree in electrical/electronic engineering or relevant fire detection industry experience. Minimum 5 years of experience in the fire detection industry. Ability to assist in achieving annual targets. Excellent knowledge of fire and voice alarm design and installation standards, including BS5839. Proficiency in English, both verbal and written. Problem-solving skills with the ability to work autonomously and with self-discipline. Up-to-date industry knowledge and understanding of EN standards related to fire detection products. Awareness of relevant building standards and codes in the region. Strong business communication skills, including reporting and meeting documentation. Ability to create and deliver presentations on relevant topics. Experience with Zettler and Fireclass products is a plus but not mandatory. Ability to develop processes and supporting materials. Proficiency in MS Office, Salesforce, and diagnostics tools. Willingness to travel and hold a valid passport and driver’s license.
