Permanent responsibility:
Within programmes and studies undertaken by the Radar Instrument Engineering Unit, contributing to radar design and development activities.

Task description:
* The Radar Architect engineer defines RF Payload and Digital Equipment Section.
* The candidate shall perform:
o Evaluation of radar input requirements and communication with the radar engineering analysis team to support architecture and HW/SW design.
o Trade-off analysis for radar instrument solutions, including architecture and sub-systems such as antenna, RF section, and digital section. Focus on digital section activities like waveform generation, echo filtering, digital beamforming, data decimation, and compression.
o Definition of radar subsystem requirements, addressing functional decomposition and performance needs for Digital, RF, and Software sections.
o Participation in design reviews at various levels.
o Contribution to requirement traceability and maintenance.
o Support to Radar System Engineering Manager for RFW/D evaluation against architecture and budget.
o Contribution to defining and maintaining radar payload budgets.
o Development of software tools (e.g., Matlab, Excel) for simulations and analysis during design and verification phases.
o Evaluation of test results and participation in test campaigns to assess radar payload performance.
o Participation in meetings with design teams, subcontractors, and customers.
o Preparation of documents and presentations.
Personal requirements:
* Master's degree or PhD in Remote Sensing Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering, or Electronics Engineering.
* Background in HW design for RF and digital electronics, with skills in antenna and RF design considered advantageous.
* Proficiency in Matlab and MS Office.
* Intermediate level of English for communication.
* Teamwork attitude.
