About The Role
To strengthen our leadership position in the European BNPL market, we are expanding our operations in Italy, a fast-growing market, and are looking for an Account Management Specialist based in our Milan office.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for managing and growing relationships with our existing merchant partners, driving upselling and cross-selling activities, and directly contributing to our revenue and volume growth. The role is cross-functional and will involve collaboration with teams in France, such as Finance, Revenue Operations, Risk, and Sales, to deliver impactful solutions for our merchant base.
About The Mission
* Merchant Management & Growth:
o Serve as the primary contact for Italian merchant partners, ensuring their satisfaction and success with Alma’s services.
o Conduct regular check-ins, monitor performance metrics, and develop plans to maximize merchant potential.
o Use data insights to identify expansion opportunities and address challenges proactively.
* Revenue and Volume Generation:
o Analyze merchant data and market trends to identify new revenue streams and optimize growth.
o Design and implement upselling and cross-selling strategies based on performance metrics.
o Report on merchant profitability, pipeline forecasts, and new business opportunities to internal stakeholders.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration:
o Coordinate with Finance, Revenue Operations, Risk, and Sales teams to meet merchant needs and provide tailored solutions.
o Work with the Account Management Lead and General Manager in Italy to align strategies.
o Facilitate feedback between merchants and product teams for continuous improvement.
About you:
* 1-3 years of experience in Account Management, Business Development, or similar client-facing roles, preferably in B2B or fintech.
* Experience in international and multicultural environments.
* Native Italian speaker with fluent English skills.
* Relationship builder: skilled at nurturing client relationships and finding growth opportunities.
* Data-driven mindset: adept at analyzing performance metrics and translating insights into actions.
* Sales & negotiation skills: proven success in upselling and cross-selling initiatives.
* Ability to collaborate across functions (Finance, Revenue Ops, Risk, Sales).
* Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and reporting.
* Proactive attitude to ensure merchant success and seize opportunities.
