Job Purpose Job duties (Responsibilities and Accountabilities): - Prioritize production / business critical issues and escalate issue(s) to the appropriate global technical staff. - Work closely with 3rd party software providers. - Ensure that support requests are resolved in an appropriate timescale. - Provide accurate and timely updates of tickets in the company tracking system. - Support with systems testing on both new systems and modifications to current systems. - Assist with ensuring that sufficient help documentation is available for end users. - Provide support on all software related issues across a full suite of devices. - Carryout 'out of hours I.T support' in line with department rotation. - Adhere to Progress Rail standards, policies, procedures, and backup related tasks. - Install, configure, and support Microsoft operating systems and environments. - New desktop procurement, set up, configuration and installation. - Actively involved in problem resolution, follow-up, testing, workarounds, and equipment. suggestions - Other duties as assigned.
