About the role
We’re looking for a curious, rigorous, problem‑hungry platform engineer to help bring Ashby to the big leagues. Ashby builds software that lets talent teams build an efficient, delightful, respectful hiring process. As Platform Engineer (SRE) you’ll dive into scaling problems, add new capabilities and shape the platform for an expanding customer base.
Responsibilities
* Optimize our home‑grown ultra‑dynamic recruiting DSL‑to‑SQL compiler and build tools to help developers.
* Create automated guardrails for the security and privacy of customer data.
* Help developers ship features fast through canary deployments, gradual rollouts and feature flags while keeping complexity manageable and reducing downtime.
* Define SLOs in partnership with business and engineering and implement the corresponding SLIs.
* Ensure all communication with external services supports retries and circuit‑breakers.
* Build the infrastructure to support an event‑driven architecture and data warehouse.
Qualifications
* Hands‑on experience coding in TypeScript, Node.js or similar.
* Strong background in AWS, Datadog, Sentry and infrastructure‑as‑code.
* Experience with SRE or platform engineering at an operating or service company.
* Proficiency with DevOps practices – CI/CD, monitoring, observability and incident response.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to write clear technical documentation.

Compensation Range: €141K - €226K
