Job Summary:
The Quality Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining procedures to ensure Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) of products, assets, materials, and supplies. The role requires a practical understanding of tool functionality, product performance, and production processes.
This position evaluates the acceptability of quality‑related requirements for assigned projects and defines the types of inspections and controls to be applied to components and valves.
Successful candidates are strong communicators, enjoy problem‑solving, and work effectively in cross‑functional teams while demonstrating excellent organizational skills.
The role reports to the Quality Engineering Supervisor and is based in Colico, (Italy).
Typical Responsibilities and Duties:
Is responsible for the orders/projects within their scope
Manages the issuance of internal documentation (related to quality aspects) for the customer
Participates in project meetings
Handles quality‑related issues and coordinates their resolution with the relevant departments
Analyzes contractual requirements regarding quality control and inspections
Prepares control plans, inspection plans, and painting/coating plans
Performs design reviews
Coordinates supplier visits/inspections with other departments, in accordance with the control plan
Enters new QIRs for the procurement of materials/components
Supports other departments in resolving customer complaints and in implementing corrective actions
Provides support during internal and external audits
Qualifications:
Education: Engineering degree (Mechanical or Manufacturing preferred).
Languages: English proficiency required (spoken and written).
Solid knowledge of desktop applications for document management, presentation creation, and data collection.
Familiarity with contract review procedures and project planning
Basic knowledge of material properties and characteristics
Previous experience in a quality-related role is considered a strong plus.
Soft Skills: communication, time management and problem solving.
