PJob Description /ppThe Director of Supply Chain is responsible for planning, organizing and directing all phases of a centralized Supply Chain program; including procurement, strategic sourcing, contract management, materials management, wardrobe, warehousing distribution for a diversified and multifaceted range of business units and for our government sector. This position develops collaborative and strong working relationships with business unit leaders to enable Supply Chain to be viewed as a value-added service across the organization. /ppThis role is On Site in Verona, NY /ppstrongThis role starts at $150k/yr+ BOE /strong /ppstrongKey Responsibilities: /strong /pulliLeads effort to build strategic sourcing capabilities by developing and implementing a standardized approach. This includes developing, recommending and implementing processes, policies, procedures and supporting tools to facilitate improvements for the Supply Chain function. /liliDevelops Supply Chain strategy, goals and communicates to Executives, Business Units and leadership. /liliLeads, supervises and directs the activities of Supply Chain employees. /liliAnalyzes and evaluates information and records to effectuate procurement of materials and services in an efficient, timely and effective manner for a diverse portfolio of businesses and users. /liliLeads strategic sourcing education and training for supply chain policy and procedures. /liliLeads purchasing opportunity analysis and category selection process. /liliIdentifies staffing requirements across the department to secure resources for efficient performance. /liliEnsures savings and benefit metrics are in place and reported in a timely manner. /liliDevelops a recommended budget for the Supply Chain Department; monitors adopted budget and authorizes expenditures in conformance with policies. /liliDevelops and works with business functions to create shared key performance indicators that will be used to measure the success of the Supply Chain organization. /liliDevelops and maintains ongoing relationships with leadership to garner support for selected sourcing projects, to align with impacted areas of the business, and to maintain momentum to achieve agreed upon objectives /liliDirects the development of the strategic sourcing process; including market assessments, RFP, bid strategy development, supplier negotiations, contract development processes, and templates. /liliDirects the development of a centralized warehousing environment to maximize storage space, minimize inventory turns and ensure quality levels and specifications are adhered to. /liliDirects Wardrobe Services to effectively manage wardrobe procurement and inventory and ensure a positive wardrobe experience that supports the professional image of our team members. /liliCommunicates sourcing status and results to executives, supply chain team, and cross function leadership. /liliDirects the interaction with IT to ensure adequate and capable systems are in place to support Supply Chain operations across the multifaceted business units. Develops and maintains strong communications with end users. /liliEnsures the requisite industry knowledge is applied to each business unit’s needs for operating and capital purchases. /liliDevelops strong inter-department ties so that users, departments know the appropriate people to contact. /liliConducts meetings to coordinate personnel and initiatives within the Supply Chain and Procurement organization. /li /ulpstrongQualifications: /strong /pulliMinimum of 12 years of experience in Supply Chain with a focus on strategic sourcing, procurement and inventory management with five of those years in a senior management position for a company in a related industry /liliBachelor's Degree required in Business Management or Purchasing related discipline /liliMBA or advanced degree desired /liliAbility to think strategically /liliEstablished reputation for achieving results /liliAbility to build and lead effective cross-functional teams /liliExcellent facilitation skills /liliStrong process and analytical skills /liliAbility to negotiate and craft strong, strategic alliances /liliStrong procurement inventory management system skills are required. /liliAbility to manage diverse interests and expectations /liliOutstanding oral and written communications skills /liliExpert procurement and strategic sourcing skills /liliStrong financial background /li /ulpstrongWho We Are: /strong /ppWe are Turning Stone Enterprises, a dynamic organization with a diverse range of business operations.
