The role aims to be recognized as a trusted advisor in the hotel/hotels. This role supports the finance lead to attract and retain best-in-class finance professionals. It assists in developing the finance team and enables them to thrive. The role involves effective communication, ensuring a robust control and compliance environment, and supporting the EMEA finance management company's value proposition, which is attractive to existing and new owners. The role partners within the hotel/hotels to maximize profit for shareholders and owners and executes EMEA Operations Finance innovations and projects to deliver an industry-leading, efficient finance organization.
What will I be doing?
The Assistant Director of Finance will support all activities performed by the Director of Finance, including understanding and driving financial performance, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, month-end closing activities, and reviewing financial statements in accordance with GAAP, the Uniform System of Accounts, and Hilton policies. The role ensures smooth operation of all hotel finance activities in full compliance with policies, regulations, and contractual frameworks. It will business partner with hotel finance teams and hotel management, supporting the Director of Finance in developing excellent relationships across internal and external stakeholders, including Commercial, IT, Procurement, Operations, Shared Service Centers, Owners, Asset Managers, and Regional Operations Finance. In the absence of the Director of Finance, the Assistant Director will assume departmental responsibilities. The role also supports the development of top-tier hotel finance teams through participation in relevant finance development programs.

* Strong knowledge of Italian tax and fiscal laws
* Ability to analyze large volumes of complex financial data and create reports, forecasts, and projections

* Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and ability to learn new programs quickly
Additional Preferences: University degree in Accounting or Finance
