Circular Resourcing are partnered with a JV Development Platform looking to for a proactive Project Development Manager / Country Manager to drive forward their business in Italy.
The company have been established in Italy for many years focussing on development and have launched a partnership with a manufacturer based in Europe to co-developer several Solar and BESS opportunities in Italy.
Position: Head of Development / Country Manager - Italy (Remote)
* Location: Italy (with regular travel to project sites)
* Reporting to: CEO
Company Overview:
* Established renewable energy developer specializing in the Development and storage projects.
* Operating across development, financing, construction, and operations, the company values entrepreneurial spirit, adaptability, and a hands-on approach to navigating the evolving energy landscape.
Role Overview:
* As Head of Project Development, you will lead the deployment of Solar & BESS activities across the region.
* You will oversee project development through a network of co-developers, ensuring projects reach Ready-to-Build status and progress through to construction. This is a strategic leadership role requiring strong technical, commercial, and stakeholder management capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage project development activities in Italy, coordinating with co-developers and reporting progress to senior leadership.
* Drive projects to RTB status by securing EPC contracts, offtake agreements, and financing.
* Prepare and submit projects for Italian energy tenders.
* Identify and manage local service providers based on project geography.
* Oversee project timelines and development expenditure (DevEx).
* Provide technical support during pre-construction and construction phases, including subcontractor selection, testing, and commissioning.
* Ensure high-quality reporting and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
Candidate Profile:
* A go-getter who can build relationships and manage a growing pipeline of utility scale projects across Italy.
* Ideally Minimum 5 years of experience in Solar / BESS project development.
* Proven track record of managing complex infrastructure projects, preferably with experience in Italy.
