The Corporate Investigator is responsible for investigating reports of internal theft, vandalism, fraud, and employee misconduct. The Corporate Investigator utilizes technology, analysis, interviewing, and assessment techniques to protect personnel, information, and assets. Investigations range from routine to moderately complex. Corporate Investigators work as a team, providing expertise and resources to local security personnel across the globe, and are expected to embrace continuous process improvement, innovation, and shared risk management.
Minimum Qualifications
* Have a Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)
* Have 3+ years of experience in Corporate Investigations, Law Enforcement, Security Operations, Incident Management, or related fields
* Familiarity with the ASIS Professional Investigator’s Manual and ANSI Standard for Investigations
* Experience conducting in-depth and complex investigations in corporate, product, or vendor contexts
* Developed investigative and analytical skills specific to a high-tech environment, including CCTV review, Chain of Custody, and investigation methods
* Willingness to learn new methods and approaches to familiar problems
* Familiarity with or experience using the PEACE interview method (preferred but not required)

Key Responsibilities
* Conduct investigations, interview victims, witnesses, and suspects, and collect evidence, including CCTV footage
* Write accurate, professional reports
* Identify gaps and opportunities in security infrastructure and processes
* Utilize case management systems and security software such as Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, Bridge, Acrobat, Lenel CCTV, and Access software
* Participate in training, mentoring, and continuous process improvement initiatives
About the Team
The Corporate Investigations Group, within Amazon Protective Services, investigates security threats and incidents across Amazon's global corporate spaces, determining root causes and mitigation strategies.
* Experience in conducting complex investigations with effective interviewing and technology skills
* Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) or Professional Certified Investigator (PCI) certification (preferred)
* Experience managing investigators and security personnel in a global organization (private sector experience preferred)
* Results-oriented leadership with strong influencing skills in fast-paced environments
* Experience building partnerships and industry groups related to safety and security
* Ability to identify security gaps and develop mitigation plans from a multidisciplinary perspective
