The Role:
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the mechanical design of heaters and pressure vessels in various sizes and configurations. You will collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to clarify technical requirements and ensure high-quality engineering deliverables. This is an on-site position based in Cusago, Italy.
Responsibilities:
* Mechanical design of various sized heaters/vessels
* Interaction with customer (internal or external) representatives on technical clarifications
* Create and review drawings using proprietary software (AutoCAD, PV Elite, MicroStation)
* Review technical specifications: prepare, review and approve engineering drawings, bills of materials and other engineering documentation
* Provide technical support to Sales, Production, Purchasing and Quality departments
* Review updated codes and standards and assess the impact on existing product design
* Participate in audits pertaining to electrical product certifications
* Ensure a safe workplace, including compliance with established safety laws, regulations, codes, policies and procedures
Your Skills:
* 5-10 years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in a similar industry or with comparable products (e.g., pressure vessels, industrial heaters)
* Working knowledge in drafting drawings (AutoCAD, PV Elite, MicroStation)
* Experience with MS Office
* Strong technical knowledge of mechanical engineering principles
* Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment
* Able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with team members, supervisors, and internal/external customers
