We are looking for dynamic and enthusiastic Commis de Rang to join our Food & Beverage Thompson Rome Pre-opening Team!
Reporting to the Maitre, the ideal candidate will maintain positive guest and colleague interactions, building strong working relationships while ensuring excellent customer service. With a natural flair for lifestyle hospitality and strong communication skills, the Commis de Rang works closely with outlet's colleagues in a supportive and flexible manner, focusing on the overall success of the hotel and the satisfaction of our Guests.
Key Responsibilities
* Seats and serve food and beverages to guests according to established sequence and procedures. Helps on taking orders when required.
* Present menus, answer guest inquiries, and make recommendations regarding food, beverage, and service
* Clear and reset tables at the conclusion of each course
* Maintain high standards of hygiene, presentation, and service throughout operations
* Knows how to use the Micros system
* Demonstrate thorough knowledge and understanding of all food and beverage items on the menu, and the ability to recommend combinations and upsell alternatives when required
* Provide a welcoming and professional service to guests during breakfast, lunch, and dinner
* Support special events and high-volume service periods
* Ensure compliance with service and hygiene standards at all times
* Promote a guest-focused and service-driven culture within the outlet
Candidate Profile
* Minimum of 2 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related hospitality environment
* High standards of personal presentation and grooming
* Strong knowledge of menu items and beverage offerings
* Ability to work effectively under pressure, maintaining composure and objectivity
* Strong interpersonal skills and a customer-oriented mindset
* Knowledge of the city of Rome and history
* Native or Fluent in Italian and English. Any additional language is a plus
* Flexible and supportive team player with a positive attitude
