We are looking for talented people who want to help with installing cabling and new racks within data centers and ensuring safety, security, and capacity. You will work in a team environment and communicate with cross‑team stakeholders. /p h3Key Job Responsibilities /h3 ul liAdhere to security and safety best practices in the data center. /li liInstallation and testing of copper and fiber optic cabling. /li liBasic build and troubleshooting of network devices. /li liManaging inventory of related materials. /li liAdhering to defined escalation processes and standard operating procedures. /li /ul h3Physical Requirements /h3 ul liThis position has a physical component and may require working in cramped spaces or elevated locations. /li liManual handling and lifting of equipment may be required in accordance with local safety regulations. /li liRegularly work at heights and from ladders. /li liWork in noisy areas with hotter and colder temperatures. /li /ul h3Location Requirements /h3 pOur data centers are located in remote areas outside Milan, where access via public transport may be limited. Therefore, a valid Italian driving license is required for this role. /p h3Work Schedule /h3 pThis is a 100% onsite in‑person position due to the hands‑on nature of managing mission‑critical infrastructure. /p h3Basic Qualifications /h3 ul li1+ years of structured cabling (Copper/Fiber) installation experience. /li liGood understanding of industry cable test procedures and equipment for a variety of different cabling systems (Copper/Fiber test equipment, OTDR, network analyzer, VFL etc.). /li liAbility to work at heights, off of a ladder and in confined spaces, lift up to 16 kg with two‑person support or equipment. /li liValid Italian driving license. /li /ul h3Preferred Qualifications /h3 ul liSeveral years of data center structured cabling infrastructure experience. /li liGeneral comprehension of the various components and sub‑components of data center infrastructure. /li /ul h3Equal Opportunity Statement /h3 pAmazon is an equal opportunities employer.
