This role will lead functional safety lifecycle activities and provide technical guidance to sites, while also contributing to broader Electrical, Controls Instrumentation (ECI) initiatives such as asset lifecycle management, capital project design, and standardization efforts. /ph3Job Responsibilities /h3pFunctional Safety Leadership (Core) /pulliAct as Functional Safety Subject Matter Expert (e.g., TÜV FSEng., Exida CFSP/E). /liliProvide technical support on the functional safety lifecycle, including compliance with IEC 61511/61508. /liliSupport authority engagement and improvement projects related to safety systems. /liliDevelop and build internal FS capability. /li /ulpAsset Lifecycle Program Support /pulliContribute to lifecycle strategy for control systems and electrical infrastructure. /liliApply knowledge in cable calculations, fault studies, ATEX equipment selection, and maintenance best practices. /liliHelp safeguard long-term productivity and improve energy efficiency. /liliSupport proactive EI program management to prevent failures and reduce downtime risks. /li /ulpECI Capital Project Design /pulliAssist in the design and execution of ECI capital projects. /liliSupport internal delivery of detailed design to reduce external resource costs. /liliContribute to scope development and technical documentation for EI programs. /li /ulpECI Technical Standards Development /pulliSupport the development and roll-out of standardized ECI design, installation, and commissioning practices. /liliPromote harmonized engineering solutions across European sites to reduce rework and improve efficiency. /li /ulpDiscipline Engineering Support /pulliProvide expert ECI support to sites, increasing internal capacity. /liliAssist with site compliance, authority engagement, and improvement initiatives. /li /ulh3Education Experience /h3pEducation: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, Automation, or related field. /ppCertifications: TÜV Functional Safety Engineer or Exida CFSP/E certification strongly preferred. /ppExperience: /pulli7–10 years in ECI engineering with a strong focus on functional safety. /liliProven experience in FS lifecycle management and compliance. /liliExposure to capital project design, asset lifecycle planning, and technical standardization (desirable). /li /ulh3Disclaimer /h3pWe are not accepting unsolicited assistance from search firms/employment agencies for this employment opportunity.
