Role Overview
ALMARE is looking for a Junior Web Designer (Contract) to support the completion, update, and optimization of our website.
This is a hands-on role focused on implementing and refining web pages, ensuring visual consistency, and supporting ongoing content updates in collaboration with the communications team.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, design-sensitive, and comfortable working within an existing visual identity.
Key Responsibilities
* Update and complete pages on the ALMARE website
* Implement new content (texts, images, program updates)
* Ensure visual consistency across all web pages
* Optimize layouts for desktop and mobile
* Support the integration of festival content
* Collaborate with the communications team on structure and UX improvements
* Maintain a clean and organized web structure
Required Skills & Qualifications
Qualifications
* Proficiency in Web Design and familiarity with tools/software for creating visually appealing and functional web layouts
* Strong knowledge of Readymag (essential)
* Basic understanding of web design principles (layout, typography, responsiveness)
* Strong knowledge of Fima, Canva.
* Experience working with visual systems or brand guidelines
* Ability to translate design direction into clean web layouts
* Attention to detail and organizational skills
* Web Content Writing and Writing skills to develop and optimize content for websites
* Experience with E-Commerce platforms and understanding of online shopping functionalities
* Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
* Bilingual - English and Italian is a requirement.
Nice to Have
* Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS (not required but a plus)
* Basic knowledge of SEO principles and user experience design is a plus
* Experience with e-commerce and website implementation
* Experience cultural or artistic projects
* Interest in sound and visua art,
* Experience in editorial work
