Our client, a leading Payment Solutions company based in Nicosia, is seeking a dedicated Junior DevOps Engineer to support the design, automation, and operation of cloud-based infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. 1. Assist in deploying and maintaining AWS cloud infrastructure under guidance
2. Support CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins or DroneCI
3. Develop and maintain basic automation scripts (e.g., Python, Go, Groovy, Bash)
4. Work with containerized applications using Docker
5. Assist with Kubernetes deployments and basic cluster operations
6. Support Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or CloudFormation
7. Assist with configuration management using tools such as Ansible or Puppet
8. Perform basic Linux administration and troubleshooting
9. Collaborate with development and IT teams following SDLC best practices
10. Document configurations, procedures, and automation workflows
CANDIDATE PROFILE
11. Linux: Basic system administration and command-line usage
12. Basic knowledge of Python, Go, or Groovy
13. Evidence of simple automation (projects, labs, GitHub repositories, coursework)
14. Understanding of DevOps principles and CI/CD concepts
15. Familiarity with SCM tools (e.g., Git) and SDLC processes
16. Exposure to Jenkins, DroneCI, or similar automation tools
17. Basic understanding of AWS services and common cloud architectures
18. Basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, subnets, security groups)
19. Docker fundamentals
20. Basic Kubernetes concepts (pods, services, deployments)
21. Introductory knowledge of Terraform and/or CloudFormation
22. Basic familiarity with Ansible, Puppet, or similar tools
23. Excellent communication skills in English and Greek
24. Team-oriented mindset with willingness to take guidance and feedback
25. AWS Cloud Practitioner or similar entry-level certification is an advantage
26. Personal labs, GitHub repositories, or university projects related to DevOps or cloud would be considered as an advantage
27. Exposure to monitoring or logging tools would be considered a plus
