The Opportunity
We are seeking a talented individual to manage multiple ongoing warranty projects for Grid and Power quality Solution Operating Unit. As the main point of contact for the customer, both internally and externally, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth transition of projects from execution to warranty phase.
Your Key Responsibilities:
* Manage warranty phase: Organize outstanding items to be resolved, identify new items during the warranty phase, and develop action plans for these items.
* Handover to warranty team: Ensure a smooth transition of projects, communicating contractual obligations and pending items to the warranty team.
* Project leadership: Lead project teams, allocate tasks, motivate internal and external resources, and ensure task accomplishment.
* Capture lessons learned: Analyze and share lessons learned throughout the project, formally closing it out as per contractually agreed terms.
* Contract claims and procurement management: Apply contract and claims management according to Hitachi Energy policies and agreements.
* Stakeholder relations: Act as key customer contact and troubleshooter for warranty project issues, building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
* Additional responsibilities include leading small/medium-sized projects as project manager, ensuring all activities align with Hitachi Energy policy, contractual agreements, quality standards, health, safety & environment requirements, financial targets, and schedule commitments.
Your Background:
* Bachelor's/Master's degree in an engineering field.
* At least 5 years of experience in project management of warranty projects, with a focus on EPC projects and working on construction sites; experience in Electrical System industry (T&D or Power Generation) is an advantage.
* Previous experience with Italian utilities is a plus (Terna/Enel/Edison).
* Experience managing projects under different contractual models, both in the Italian public and private sectors (i.e., FIDIC, Codice dei Contratti Pubblici).
* Fluent in English and Italian.
* Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, SAP, and Microsoft Project.
* Proactive and highly organized, with experience in coordinating teams, including remote locations.
* Able to travel nationally and internationally as needed (average 25%).
