Job Summary
The Radiologist is responsible for interpreting medical images to diagnose and guide treatment for a variety of conditions. This position supports clinical decision-making by providing timely, accurate, and comprehensive radiology reports. The role plays a critical part in improving patient outcomes and maintaining high standards of diagnostic excellence within the organization.
Job Duties
* Interpret diagnostic imaging studies including X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, Ultrasounds, and other modalities.
* Provide clear and concise reports with timely turnaround to referring physicians.
* Communicate urgent or critical findings to the appropriate clinical teams immediately.
* Collaborate with technologists to ensure optimal image quality and protocol adherence.
* Participate in quality assurance, peer review, and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge on current imaging guidelines and best practices.
* Utilize state-of-the‑art radiology software and tools for efficient workflow.
* Support a culture of safety, compliance, and patient‑centered care.
* Document findings accurately within the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
* Attend department meetings and contribute to case discussions and clinical education when applicable.
Education and Experience
* Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) required.
* Completion of an accredited Radiology Residency program.
* Board Certified or Board Eligible in Diagnostic Radiology.
* Fellowship training (preferred but not required, depending on sub‑specialty).
* Active and unrestricted medical license in the relevant state(s).
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
* Proficient in the interpretation of multiple imaging modalities.
* Strong understanding of anatomy, pathology, and radiological sciences.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to work efficiently in high‑volume environments.
* Comfortable with remote diagnostic tools and teleradiology systems.
